Little Canoe Girl of Bougainville
Once upon a time, there was this little girl….
I shot this video of a little girl with a canoe in Bougainville, at Pidia village. This village lies below the hills of Kieta-Arawa. This village is where they will shoot the Mr Pip video. I hope this little girl is in it. Enjoy.

Kongara Manee Resource Centre Video Part 1
This is a video Part 1 of the Manee Resource Center in Bougainville. I visited in November 2010.
High up in the hills of Kongara, overlooking Kieta and Arawa is The Manee Resource Centre, a brilliant project in the middle of the Kongara mountain forests being built for the preservation of certain old traditional knowledge of people in this area. The Giant ‘Avatar’ like Trees of Sohano Island
I was shocked by the size of these huge raintrees on Suhano Island in Buka. These were huge, with massive overhanging branches like something out of a Hollywood movie. No doubt these trees on this historical island must be at leasts 100 yrs old. The giant Suhano Island trees are in the photo below. To give you an idea of the scale of the trees, there is a man, at least 6feet tall standing at the base of the tree on the right.

Arovo Island Video
Arovo Island was a super famous resort before the Bougainville crisis. Now an old jetty and seawalls are the only reminders that their was a resort here.
